Middletown: Meet Our Physicians

DrMoore 
Jack C. Moore II, M.D., is board certified in family practice. He graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va., in 1982 with a degree in chemistry, and graduated from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in 1987. Dr. Moore completed his residency in family practice at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center of Pennsylvania State University in State College, Penn., in 1990. Dr. Moore has practiced family medicine in rural areas of Ohio and Kentucky for 10 years, including occupational health experience and outpatient teaching responsibilities for medical students and residents, and has four years of urgent care experience. He has also participated in two international mission trips through the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

 

Dr. Bird
Russell J. Bird, M.D.,
is board certified in family practice. He graduated cum laude from the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1989 with a degree in biochemistry. He is a 1993 graduate of Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y. While a student there, he received a rural medicine education scholarship and spent nine months “learning while serving” the community of Oswego, N.Y. He completed his residency in family practice at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, Penn., in 1996. In 1996, Dr. Bird co-founded Twin Rose Primary Healthcare, a large group family practice in Columbia, Penn. Dr. Bird has extensive experience in outpatient and inpatient care, emergency medicine, obstetrics, addiction medicine and geriatrics.
